Former Siemens manager Uwe Großmann joins MeteoViva’s advisory board
Jülich, October 27, 2020 — To further expand its market success, MeteoViva GmbH relies on the consulting competence and experience of Uwe Großmann. The former Head of Sales and Operations Region Germany at Siemens Smart Infrastructure has been strengthening the company advisory board of the smart data provider since October 1.
For many years, Uwe Großmann was head of the portfolio management for the Solution & Service business at Siemens Building Technologies in Germany, where he was responsible for the expansion of digital solutions and services along the entire value chain. He has more than 30 years of management experience in the building industry, the energy market and the service industry.
Uwe Großmann estimates the market potential for MeteoViva GmbH's innovative building control system to be high: "Although MeteoViva is still a relatively young company, its approach - to use software to optimize building operations in a predictive manner - is already considered a benchmark in the industry. The data driven solution provides an answer to several major challenges in the building sector: a cost-effective low-carbon technology that reduces operating costs and, thanks to its open platform technology, allows maximum flexibility and further integration.”
The future goal will be to further leverage the innovation and market potential of the optimization of building operations. In his new function as an advisor to MeteoViva, Großmann is expected to promote the use of data driven approaches for the CO2 emissions reduction in Germany, both in the market as well as in the political discussion on efficient buildings. MeteoViva is convinced that smart technologies such as MeteoViva Climate achieve sustainability goals much faster and more efficiently than the sole use of environmentally friendly materials.
