MeteoViva has joined the International Building Performance & Data Initiative (IBPDI)

The aim of the IBPDI is to develop an international building performance and data standard for the real estate industry and thus enable cross-system data use. MeteoViva will work together with member companies and organisations on a Common Data Model (CDM) for Real Estate and in particular help shape the application fields of Facility Management and Energy & Resources.

„We look forward to contributing and driving the initiative forward. Our building control system draws its enormous potential from dynamic information on building physics, usage and the development of weather and energy prices. The more assumptions we can use through current data, whether from the building itself or from IoT data sources or from the utility company, and process them in an automated way, the more our customers will benefit“, explained Dr Stefan Hardt, spokesman for the management of MeteoViva GmbH.

A common data model makes it possible to minimise the number of interfaces between systems and to concentrate on the real thing - generating information from data. MeteoViva can make a valuable contribution in the "Common Data Model (CDM) for Real Estate" in the areas of HVAC operation, optimisation of resource utilisation as well as compliance with the desired indoor climate and benefit from the integration of other systems from the areas of procurement, operation and BIM.
