MeteoViva awarded with the “AC² innovation prize Region Aachen”

Jülich, June 06, 2016 – The technology company MeteoViva was awarded the “AC² innovation prize Region Aachen”.

Marcel Philipp, the Lord Mayor of Aachen, presented the award Thursday evening to both managing directors, Markus Werner and Dr. Stefan Hardt, during a festive award ceremony in the coronation hall of Aachen town hall

With its software-as-a-service solution MeteoViva Climate, that proactively manages energy technology in buildings, the company from Jülich prevailed over a number of finalists, including network providers devolo from Aachen and QsQ Werkzeug- und Vorrichtungsbau from Erkelenz. “MeteoViva GmbH is a pioneer with its technology and its innovative business model, and is an internationally recognized standard setter for an energy-efficient building automation”, the jury explained how the decision was reached. “They are a source of pride for the innovative power of the city of Aachen.”

Dr. Stefan Hardt was delighted to receive the award. “We already stood here five years ago when we were awarded the first prize AC² growth initiative. It helped us stay motivated and continue on our path.” Today, MeteoViva is not only successful in Germany, but also in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and in the USA. We have been able to convince many prestigious customers over the past five years - most recently the American University in Washington DC. “It is a wonderful vote of confidence that the Aachen region is awarding us again for our green technology”, says the managing director.
