MeteoViva Climate as innovative technology for the new energy era
Jülich, July 06, 2016– The annual “Tag der Immobilienwirtschaft” of the central real estate committee took place in Berlin beginning of June, and MeteoViva was there for the first time with its own booth and with Markus Werner on the podium.
More than 1,500 participants participated at this industry event. Present were high-ranking guests such as Dr. Barbara Hendricks, Minister for Construction, Rudolph W. Giuliani, former mayor of New York City, Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, President of the Bundestag, and Alexander Dobrindt, Minister of Transportation.
As part of the innovation incubator program, Markus Werner, Managing Director at MeteoViva, together with Dr. Frank Vossloh of Viessmann Deutschland GmbH, and Andreas Göppel from Kalorimeta AG & Co. KG, gave a presentation on innovative technologies for attainable climate change objectives. In his presentation, Markus Werner emphasized the universal applicability and high savings potential of predictive operating optimizations. The climate protection objectives can already be achieved today, with intelligent data that can be collected inside the building. In addition, says Markus Werner, “with our solution MeteoViva Climate, we can significantly improve the quality of indoor climate while reducing the CO2 emissions by up to 40 percent. The payback is typically under three years.” The subsequent discussion focused on the question as to whether the focus on energy efficiency was thought through long enough and what role humans play in the new energy era.
The experts agreed that humans should always be at the center in all efforts towards energy efficiency. Markus Werner added, “We spend more than 90 percent of our lifetime in closed rooms. Ergo, healthy indoor climate, respect for the individuality of occupants and simplicity in the operation of building services engineering are essential. Buildings play a key role for a socially-conscious energy revolution."
